Convergence 2015 – Reporting in on Day 3

“Understanding the value of Microsoft Dynamics NAV in Office 365” was the title of the seminar conducted by Jesper Raebild, The Great. Jesper is Senior Product Manager and his sessions are always in demand. He reiterated the fact that the Microsoft Cloud is comprised of the Platform which is Azure, the productivity tools which is Office 365 and the Business Applications which is Dynamics.

Office 365 is comprised of Office which includes Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Hosted Email, Document Storage, Online Meetings, and Yammer. Some of the common misconceptions regarding the cloud is that the apps are just up in the cloud. Actually they are installed on your PC as well. Data can also be stored locally as well as the cloud.

One of the most important aspects of Office 365 is you get access from anywhere. You also always have the latest versions of office and there are some very neat improvements right now.

Additionally when you have NAV available inside of Office 365 you have single sign on ability. The user experience between Office 365 and NAV is aligned. It is really one great solution with everything running on the Azure cloud. You can even connnect an on-premise installation of NAV with Office 365.

CONCLUSION:

Offiice 365 costs from $12.50 to $24 per user/per month for the plans that work best with Dynamics NAV. This is really a no-brainer. Please call us today to discuss if this opportunity makes sense for your organization.
