NAVUG Summit is about making the investment to give your staff the tools they need to help each other and you better your company.
Why should you invest?
Having just returned from the Summit 2016 conference in Tampa, now I know first person why you should consider attending.
Here were my favorite parts of the conference:
Pre-Conference Academy- I enrolled to spend some deep-dive instructor led virtual machine focused time learning Jet Reports, Manufacturing I, Manufacturing II and Manufacturing Costing. Two and a half days of learning from the experts with the benefit of hearing end user questions and how they are using or planning to use the product. I wished I had one more day so I could have done the PowerBI Workshop too.
Quick learning one hour breakout sessions on dozens of topics. The main part of the conference was Tuesday evening through Friday afternoon. It was chock full of hour long sessions on topics like: Charting with Account Schedule KPIs, Inventory Costing 101,201, and 301,Workflows in NAV 2016. and What’s new with NAV 2017. My favorite was Inventory Costing 301 with Tom Blaisdell from Microsoft.
Access to Microsoft staff- hear from Microsoft on the future direction of the product and ask them your questions directly.
Networking opportunities- meet people in like job and like industries and share your stories about the challenges in your business and learn how they overcame them. Make a friend to bounce your ideas off or ask for advice.
Expo hours- There must have been more than 200 booths, chock full of opportunities to learn about, see, and talk to the companies who provide NAV services and create add-on products to extend the core functionality of your Dynamics NAV product.
The Summit phone app to create a schedule for what I wanted to attend and to see what else was available on the schedule
The ability to download the PowerPoint presentation after the conference to get a flavor of the sessions I couldn’t make it to.
There was so much good content, I wished I could have fit more in.
Now that I know just how much value I got out of it, I’m already starting to think about making hotel reservations for Summit 2017. Next year it’s in Nashville, TN October 10-13 , 2017 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort.
Hope to see you there!
